Hannah Kate 2015!

Welcome to Hannah Kate 2015!

2015 marks the 15th anniversary of Hannah Kate!

It all began when my children were 6, 4, and 1. My younger two, Hannah and Kathryn, were my main models. Hannah Kate developed out of my love for design, but also love for my precious children. Along with my wonderful husband, Pat, my three children, now 21, 19, and 16, are the greatest joy in my life.

My love for designing these clothes has never waned and each season I find to be an exploration of what is inside of me as a designer, but also as a person. I believe each season to be better than the last ~ one season building upon the other, and making Hannah Kate flourish into something much more than I could have ever dreamed for back in 2000.

My goal has always been to provide a clothing line that is never stagnant, but always moving forward. This has wonderfully forced me to grow as a designer, a business owner, a person, a mother, a wife, and a friend. I hope to continue to create clothing for your children that captures their unique personality and showcases their individual beauty. May you find this Spring 2015 Collection to be just that! Thank you so much for your love and support that enables me to continue my dream and introduce to you this beautiful new Hannah Kate Spring Collection 2015!

I’m excited to introduce to you some of my all time favorite nautical fabrics this season!

The Blue/Grey Whales is one of my very faves! The scale of the Blue/Grey Whales is perfect for baby sunsuits (on our Hannah Kate baby wearing the “Sydney Sunsuit” for our catalog cover!) and is absolutely adorable. We have ric-rac, ruffles, and piping to match and embellish with. This fabric is also wonderful for our “Mitchell Sunsuit” for little boys and is perfect with the Grey Seersucker Piping. The “Mitchell” is one of our all time best sellers for baby boys, very retro looking, and comes in sizes 6m-3.

When looking through the Spring Collection don’t dismiss the Blue/Grey Whales and other adorable fabrics as just being baby’s style! It is also cute on older children, for example, in the “Vivi Tunic” with the Grey Seersucker pocket and trim (also on cover).

The “Vivi Tunic” was a new pattern last season (Fall 2014) and we found that it ran a tiny bit snug across the chest, especially since we were layering it over tees. This Spring Collection revisits this beautiful pattern but we’ve bumped the sizing down this spring: what was considered a size 6 last fall is now a size 5 and so on. This is so those who order the “Vivi Tunic” this spring will actually be getting one size larger then they got last season if they order the same size they previously ordered!

This is how we live and learn! I love this pattern and is just looks so incredible on so many different body types! I hope this spring you find it to be the perfect sizing. Experiment with it with or without leggings. I hope you find it to be the perfect staple for your girl’s wardrobe.

Appliques and Monograms y’all! ~

This Spring 2105 Collection has nautical embellishments to go along with our fabrics – the whales and seahorse are some of my favorites. If you don’t want to do a monogram appliqué, you could always choose our new Pocket with Whale. We have so many options this season for our boys’ tees too! Our tees for both boy and girl are 100% fine gauged cotton knit and they last forever!

I know it seems a long way off, but 4th of July will be here before we know it. Check out pages 8-9 in our Spring Collection Catalog. We have seersuckers that are awesome! Red, navy, and white is great for both boys and girls. This whole spread for the 4th of July with patriotic fabrics and all the great individual trimmings are fabulous! You are going to notice more navy this season than we have ever previously offered – I’m just really loving navy right now! You will see navy/grey, navy/pink, navy/red, navy/green & navy/white fabric combinations along with navy appliqués to add wherever you want!

While you are looking at pages 8-9 notice the new variation of one of our most popular tunic patterns, the “Leigh Ann.” This Collection we are bringing you the “Leigh Ann Tunic with Tab Sleeves.” I have never seen this pattern look anything but beautiful on every child I have seen it on! We’ve narrowed the sleeve a little and added a button and a tab so that you can roll the sleeve up and button it. It’s one of those wonderfully versatile patterns that you can wear all year long, with leggings in the fall and winter, without leggings in the warmer season and options with your sleeve length! This tunic now runs from size 4-14.

Along with this new version of the “Leigh Ann,” we have several new patterns to introduce! I am in love with our new “Juliet Dress.” I named it “Juliet” because it truly looks like a fairy tale. It is a very special dress, feminine, with a wonderful silhouette. The “Juliet” is especially pretty with an added Frill Flower sewn on the yoke where the ruffles meet. We will offer this beauty in sizes 2-10.

The “Spencer Scalloped Shorts” are another fun new pattern! I am so excited to introduce these particularly for older girls. They are a great option for girls of all ages, but especially lovely for girls ages 8-14. These shorts look super nice! They are fully lined and a great fit. I think they are best in a solid piques or linen but I look forward to seeing how you wonderful customers choose to create your own versions! You can also monogram these for an additional cost of $14. and they will come in sizes 4-14.

Hannah Kate Spring 2015 Collection will have three new really cute tops: The “Mandy,” “Kate,” and the “Alyce.” All look great with appliqués added on the lower left side. We have two new baby bubbles, one I previously mentioned, the “Sydney Sunsuit,” as well as the “Haven Bubble.” The “Haven” is basically our very popular “Taylor Bubble” with angel sleeves. It is absolutely PRECIOUS!

For all you boy moms, I’m happy to say we’ve taken our most popular Fall 2014 boy patterns and adapted them for Spring! The “Max Overalls” are now short-alls! The “Cooper Shorts” are from our “Cooper Pants” of the fall. Both of these boys options are durable, comfortable and can be casual or classic.

We have super awesome screen print tees for Spring 2015! This is a fantastic option for the older boy who has outgrown some of the appliqués! Our tee colors this year for boys are white, ecru, grey, navy, light blue, green, turquoise, kelly green, brown, red and orange! For girls we have white and ecru in short sleeves and angel tees, and white in our tank tops.

Last but not least, and something that I am thrilled about is our new section to Hannah Kate called “Hannah Kate Baby!” I really felt like our baby selection was lacking and didn’t have enough to offer to those moms who are looking for cute, soft clothing for their newborns! Well, we are making up for lost time and bringing you some of the cutest, sweetest, softest baby items I have seen in a long time! It almost makes me wish I had a little baby again. ALMOST. 🙂 Look for our Fabulously soft 100% cotton knit garments for babies and our adorable diaper covers in our catalog. These too can be embellished and appliquéd.
